SUMMARY:Homecoming - a space to pause\, connect\, reflect and grow
DESCRIPTION:Theme: Homecoming at Samhain – Turning Inward\, Honouring What Matters\nSaturday 17 October 2026 | 10:00 am – 1:00 pm \n\nInspired by the Celtic Year Wheel\, this final Homecoming gathering of 2026 invites us to pause at the threshold of Samhain (a Gaelic word pronounced “Sow-ein”)\, marking the end of the Celtic year and the transition from autumn into winter\, a time traditionally associated with stillness\, reflection\, and the transition into the darker half of the year. Modern society tends to push us towards more activity\, but we might do well to remember that nature has times of hibernation. As nature begins to slow and draw inward\, we too are invited to step away from the noise and demands of everyday life and return to a deeper connection with ourselves. \nThis Saturday morning mini-retreat offers a space to slow down\, listen inwardly\, and explore what this season may be asking of you. Samhain encourages us to reflect on the paths we have travelled\, to acknowledge what may be ready to be released\, and to cultivate the courage and wisdom needed for the journey ahead. It is a time to honour both endings and beginnings\, recognising that each creates space for the other. \nDrawing on Celtic wisdom traditions and contemporary wellbeing practices\, we will create a nurturing environment for reflection\, restoration\, and meaningful connection. Throughout our time together\, we will engage in a blend of guided meditation\, deep listening\, creative exploration\, gentle movement\, and reflective practices designed to support inner awareness and renewal. \nCost & Booking\nReserve your space here:\nOnline Reservation\nor by contacting Reception on 028 8225 0024. \nThis event is offered without a set fee. If you feel able\, we warmly welcome donations to support the facilitator and the work of Tara. Your contribution\, whatever the amount\, helps us continue creating spaces for healing and connection. \nIf you would like to support the free programmes we offer\, please consider making a donation via our donation box at Tara\, by card at Reception or at the event\, or online at:\nhttps://localgiving.org/charity/tara-centre-omagh.\nThank you. \nWhat You Need\nBring your favourite mug or cup to share its story at tea break\, and an open heart as we create space for stillness\, inspiration\, and community. \nDate & Time\n\n17 October 2026\n10:00 am – 1:00 pm (tea break included)\n\nAbout the Facilitator – Aileen McGee\nAileen McGee is an accomplished author\, creative facilitator\, and psychospiritual practitioner with a passion for empowering others to live and love their best life story. Holding an MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology\, a BA (Hons) in Psychology\, and a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling\, Aileen brings a wealth of experience in therapeutic work across private and public sectors\, nationally and internationally. \nHer approach blends ancient Celtic wisdom\, storytelling\, and creative expression with insights from psychology\, neuroscience\, and somatic practices\, creating transformative spaces for reflection and renewal. Aileen is the author of A World of Our Own and A Life of Her Own\, and a contributor to holistic and mental health publications. She has received national and international awards for her writing and radio journalism. \nAileen continues to inspire through her workshops\, writings\, and commitment to wellbeing and authentic living.

SUMMARY:Discovering your Higher Purpose
DESCRIPTION:This is a new programme which delvelped out of the workshop Jim Cogley held in March of this year at the Tara Centre. You could equally call this workshop ‘Awakening your Creativity‘\, ‘Walking the Path of Destiny‘\, or ‘The Way of Surrender‘ – each title is as powerful as the other and might speak more to some than others.  \nWhy are we here? What is our purpose? These are some of the perennial questions that will be addressed during this retreat facilitated by  Jim accompanied by Luba Rodzhuk who specializes in spiritual accompaniment.   \nThis will be a journey into a deeper level of spirituality and inner transformation and most suitable for those who have been on this path for some time and who wish to explore the more mystical side of the Christian tradition. \nAbout Jim\nJim Cogley is a psychotherapist and woodartist with nearly forty years experience.
