"A timeless sacred place, a sanctuary for all." M. Slavin
"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are." C.G.Jung
In this timely and thought-provoking talk, Dr. Lollie Mancey explores how artificial intelligence is transforming our world — and what it means to be human in the midst of such change. From identity and ethics to power, bias, and the future of work, Lollie invites us to consider both the risks and the possibilities of emerging technologies.
Structured around key themes — including AI’s influence on behaviour, new relationships between humans and machines, and who gets included in the “future human” — this session blends insight, reflection and practical hope. It is designed for people of all ages and backgrounds, especially those who may feel uncertain or overwhelmed by fast-paced technological shifts. Participants are encouraged to think critically, act consciously, and imagine a future shaped not just by machines — but by human values, creativity, and care.
Dr. Lollie Mancey is an award-winning anthropologist, futurist and innovation advocate. As Programme Director at University College Dublin’s Innovation Academy, she works at the cutting edge of education, entrepreneurship and ethical technology.
With a gift for making complex ideas clear and engaging, Lollie helps audiences understand how AI and other emerging technologies are reshaping everyday life — from leadership and relationships to cultural rituals and civic agency. She has appeared on the Tommy Tiernan Show, RTÉ’s Futureville, and at leading global conferences, including the Pendulum Summit and the FT’s CFO Summit. Her work empowers people to meet the future with confidence, creativity and compassion.
