The Four Temperaments: The Meeting of the Hereditary and Eternal Stream

18 October @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Michael Chase

In this interactive workshop we will look at the origin of the four temperaments:

  • Melancholic
  • Phlegmatic
  • Sanguine
  • Choleric

We will consider how each temperament reflects the meeting of two streams — our inherited tendencies and our eternal self. First appearing in childhood, the temperaments give each individual a particular colouring and richness of character. They can be the source of many strengths and gifts, while also presenting challenges that call for further inner transformational work in adulthood.

During the workshop, we will also work with the spirit or neutral mask, which represents the balancing point between the differing masks of the temperaments.
